I don't listen to too much hip-hop and I've never really liked underground hip-hop (with a few exceptions of course). It seems to me that the production quality, lyrics, and flow of most underground hip-hop acts (madlib included) just don't compare to the good hip-hop/rap acts in the mainstream (and yes I'm aware of how crap the mainstream can be).
Just to put things into perspective my favorite band of all time is The Smiths. |
